Seven drum circle ceremony and Blessing hosted by the Yakama Nation

By Any Means Necessary

We are just posting up here in Boardman, OR ahead of the seven drum circle ceremony and blessing hosted by the Yakama Nation here tomorrow for the Totem Pole Journey. We had an extraordinary day that started off in Hood River (video and audio coming) and finished with dinner and a private blessing in Celilo Village that, for me personally, was extremely humbling and profoundly powerful.

I just wanted to throw out these two news articles from this week that were very timely, the first being this great article and strong words from Lummi Tribal Chairman Tim Ballew, please do take a look at this:

Secondly, Dr. Kurt Russo who is the behind the scenes pillar of strength that these journeys rests on, had a chance (re: Jewell, Doug and Freddy were unable to be found) to speak to Al Jazeera yesterday morning and he shared some valuable sentiments regarding Cherry Point:

The Yakima Nation hosted us yesterday in a private event.  During that time we were included in a blessing ceremony with 7 drums and impressive singing.  I will write more later- wanted to have some images up this morning. We appreciate the Chairman taking time to share salmon with us. 40,000 acres have been on fire on their land and many people are out on the line try to quench the conflagration.
